Website Accessibility

Current University of Cambridge policy is that all College and Department websites should be designed in such a way that compliance with The Disability Discrimination Act (1995) and Special Education Needs and Disability Act [SENDA] (2001) is maximised.

Websites should be fully accessible to disabled users and should avoid the use of techniques and technologies which would tend to place a disabled user at a disadvantage when viewing pages on the website.

Policy Statement

We aim for all Faculty of Education web pages to be designed in such a way as to meet the guidelines published by the Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) from the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), as fully as possible.

In addition, we aim for all Faculty of Education web pages to be written so that they conform to at least conformance level 2 standard (AA) or (wherever possible) conformance level 3 standard (AAA).
