Story summary: The Lion's Share

A lion, a fox and a donkey go out hunting together. The donkey shares out the meat equally between the three of them. This does not impress the lion who promptly kills the donkey and invites the fox to try sharing out the food. Having learnt from the donkey’s experience, the fox gives a larger portion to the lion and keeps a tiny portion for himself, which is much more satisfactory to the lion.
