Story summary: The Vain Crow

A cunning fox plays on a crow’s pride to trick him into giving up a tasty morsel. First he praises his nimble thievery, then his good looks, his sharp talons and finally his singing voice which forces the crow to open his beak and drop the cheese he has just stolen – which is promptly gobbled up by the fox.
